The University of Maryland’s Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS) was established as one of the Department of Defense’s 14 University Affiliated Research Centers. Working with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security and national security stakeholders from across the government, the ARLIS team has unique strengths in social science, culture and language, computation, data, and artificial intelligence. ARLIS is uniquely equipped to help address the challenges of the U.S. Intelligence and Security communities.
