Spotlight Opportunities

Each week the Research Development Office highlights a selection of opportunities relevant to faculty at the University of Maryland. Selections include catalytic opportunities for early career faculty, timely initiatives in UMD priority research areas, and notable limited submission opportunities. Please check here each week for new opportunities and analysis. This spotlight is not a comprehensive list. Please consult SpinPlus and/or Sponsor opportunity databases (below) to generate a more comprehensive list of opportunities. Please note the search in the upper right-hand corner of the table.

SpinPlus

Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN) database features information on over 40,000 funding opportunities from more than 10,000 sponsors worldwide. SPINPlus data is obtained directly from the sponsoring agencies to ensure its accuracy.

On-Campus:
You can automatically use SpinPlus from any on-campus IP address.

Off-Campus:
You'll need a SpinPlus profile (free and available here) to use the service off-campus. A profile also allows you to save searches to revisit.
