Samantha (Sam) Martocci
Samantha (Sam) Martocci joined the Human Research Protection Office in January 2022. In her current role as IRB Specialist - Education and Improvement, she is responsible for reviewing initial applications and assisting with IRB meeting business including writing meeting minutes and preparing agendas. Sam is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at the School of Public Health at the University of Maryland, College Park. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University as well, completing a B.S. in Behavioral and Community Health in 2019. Prior to joining the IRB Office, she worked at NORC at the University of Chicago on a variety of projects related to COVID-19 contact tracing in the state of Maryland, survey development for a non-profit cancer organization, and patient/participant-driven research organizations.
