Jenn Blackburn

Jennifer (Jenn) Blackburn joined the Human Research Protection Office in December of 2012 and currently serves as the Quality Assurance Program Manager.  In this role, she supports the IRB through the development and maintenance of the Quality Assurance Program, which is an objective, systematic way in which the University assures research sponsors and Federal agencies that human subject research at UMCP is compliant with applicable Federal and State regulations, University policies, and the IRB approved protocol, and thereby protects the safety and welfare of human research participants.  

Jenn graduated from the University of Maryland in 2010, with a BA in Communication.  In 2015, she received her MS in Management with a focus in Public Relations from the University of Maryland Global Campus and, also completed a dual MBA degree in 2019. In addition to this, Jenn is a Certified IRB Professional (CIP).
