Dawn Roy

Dawn Roy is a Senior IRB Analyst for the Human Research Protection Office. She supports the IRB through the review of amendments and continuing review applications and provides assistance to investigators, staff and IRB members with regard to human research subject protections. 

She has worked in the research field for over 20 years in both the clinical and social behavioral areas of research.  She joined the Human Research Protections Office in July 2013.  Dawn is a Certified IRB Professional.  She received her B.S. in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration from Winston Salem State University, Winston Salem, NC in 1989.   Her previous employment includes the Children’s National Medical Center, Holy Cross Hospital, and the National Institutes of Health.

She is also the TerrapinSTRONG representative for the Division of Research.
