Amanda joined the Division of Research from the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Maryland, where she worked as the research and grant writing coordinator. Prior to that she was the business coordinator for the Department of English. She holds a PhD in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, and her research studied racial politics in 21st century multiethnic US literatures. Amanda also earned an MA in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a BA in English and Writing from Indiana Wesleyan University. As PDM, Amanda is responsible for facilitating and supporting the development of complex, visible, and signature research proposals campus-wide, from ideation to submission.
