Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
DLAR’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) outline the standards, practices, and expectations for animal care, facility operations, safety, and imaging services. These documents support safe, ethical, and compliant research across all DLAR-managed facilities.

Guidance on daily animal care practices, including housing, sanitation, feeding, environmental parameters, and enrichment to support animal health and welfare.
Guidance on clinical veterinary care, including health monitoring, diagnostics, anesthesia and analgesia, treatments, and humane endpoints for animals under DLAR oversight.
Guidance on facility operations, equipment use and maintenance, cage wash workflows, traffic flow, room conditions, and other procedures that support consistent facility performance.
Guidance on safety requirements, hazard mitigation, PPE use, biosecurity practices, spill/exposure response, and emergency procedures within DLAR facilities.
