UMD Recognized With Top-10 Ranking for Entrepreneurship and APLU Award for Innovation
College Park, Md. – The University of Maryland has again been recognized as a national leader in innovation and entrepreneurship, earning a top-10 spot in The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine’s annual ranking of the best schools for student entrepreneurship and receiving the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities’ (APLU) 2025 Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) Innovation Award.
UMD Hosts Media Day To Showcase AI Innovation
This October, the University of Maryland (UMD) is recognizing the incredible innovations fostered by artificial intelligence (AI). As part of this celebration, UMD welcomed media and guests to join researchers from across campus who are leveraging AI for real-world impact—from underwater drones for oyster farming to robotic dogs for mass casualty response, voice bots breaking down barriers to food access, and AI-powered communication for stroke survivors.
