Jill Bond

Jill Bond joined the University of Maryland Division of Research in fall of 2023 serving as the Director of Strategic Foundation Relations. In this role she is charged with designing university-wide engagement strategies and securing funding from private foundations for institutional priorities. In this capacity she works in close coordination with the Division of University Relations to maximize philanthropic support.

Jill has nearly twenty years of experience in higher education. Prior to arriving at UMD, Jill worked at Rutgers University where she launched a targeted foundation relations program, increasing funding by fifty percent over four years.  She has also served in similar capacities at both University of Texas at Austin and George Washington University.  She graduated from Colby College with a degree in Government.
