UMD researchers are exploring new, transdisciplinary ways of conducting research related to accessing data, using “crowdsourcing” to harness the power of information to solve complex problems, and engage large numbers of collaborators to work toward erasing the digital divide, preserving and archiving data, and making it accessible to everyone.
