About the Partnership:

The University of Maryland (UMD) and the São Paulo Research Foundation, Brazil (FAPESP) established a partnership in March 2015 to foster scientific and technological cooperation between researchers from UMD and universities from the state of São Paulo, Brazil by funding Joint Research Workshops. The partnership provides opportunities for faculty to participate in Joint Research Workshops to explore research collaboration.

The Joint Research Workshops include travel funds for teams of researchers from both institutions, facilitating face-to-face exploration of complementary research strengths and potential collaborations.

Calls for Proposals:

Calls for proposals for this opportunity will be announced intermittently. Specific proposal guidelines for the São Paulo Researchers in INTernational Collaboration (SPRINT) program can be found here. All UMD faculty questions related to this opportunity, including future calls for proposals and deadlines, should be directed to Dr. Beth Brittan-Powell: ebrittan@umd.edu
