Brief Mission

The Center advances research in health literacy and health communication and translates that research into education and community action that improves health outcomes for all. 

Hours of Operation

9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday

Services and Technologies Offered

The Center conducts multi-methodological, interdisciplinary research projects, partnering with academic colleagues, community organizations and government agencies. Faculty also consult and train on health literacy, plain (clear) language and cultural competency. Faculty teach courses in health communication and health literacy, and assist with curriculum in health literacy. Faculty conduct qualitative research, focus groups, interviewing, as well as experimental design and survey methodology.
